COALITION STAKEHOLDERS & SECTORS
Coalition partners include individuals and organizations in the state of Arizona that serve, support and/or interact with service members, veterans and families. Organizations from the military, government and community are invited to attend Coalition and partner events and to join our mailing list to be kept up to date on events, activities and news.
In 2013, a voluntary application process was implemented based on Arizona’s Guidelines for CARE. This process is how organizations become formal partners on the Military/Veteran Resource Network. Learn more about the Guidelines and this process.
The following diagram illustrates the Coalition’s approach to community engagement and capacity-building. Because every sector of our community interacts with and impacts service members, veterans and their families (especially those in the Guard and Reserve and veterans who live out in the community) the focus is on building our entire community’s capacity to work together in support of these individuals and families.
The primary implementation partners for the Coalition included the following organizations:
Arizona National Guard – The Arizona National Guard provided leadership and in-kind support for ACMF when the public/private partnership launched in 2009, incubating the Coalition for six months until it transitioned under the umbrella of a nonprofit fiscal sponsor. ACMF and the Arizona National Guard have continued to partner on an array of initiatives including resilience, employment and events.
Greater Valley Area Health Education Center (GVAHEC) – The Coalition is pleased to partner with GVAHEC to provide professional development and training for health care and community providers working with service members, veterans and families. GVAHEC also provided administrative support for the initial implementation of the Coalition.
The Coalition is pleased to partner with key stakeholders on an array of initiatives and efforts supporting Arizona’s military and veteran population. Stakeholders include the Arizona National Guard, Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services, the Governor’s Office for Youth, Faith & Family, Governor’s Council on Spinal and Head Injuries, Operation Family Support, TriWest Healthcare Alliance, the US Department of Veterans Affairs, the Southern Arizona Red Cross, the Arizona Department of Health Services and many other partners from the public and private sector focused on building Arizona’s capacity to care for and support all who serve.
